The album

The first disc is called "Live For What's Beautiful", and the 12 tracks were recorded between July and October 2008.

The album is the story of a journey from youth to adulthood. Simple ideas and emotions exemplified by songs like "Postcard" and "Get Out Of My Head" give way to the confusion and loneliness of  early adulthood - the themes of  "The Shadows Know" and "Mother's Hands". Eventually the journey leads to a deeper connection with friends, lovers, and the universe, a connection described in the lyrics of "Float", "Ocean Of Consciousness", and "Beautiful".

What makes these themes so interesting is the fact that seven of the twelve songs were actually written by Jason Moon over the last decade and a half, giving the album's theme a real-world dimension. Over the summer of 2008 Jason wrote two more songs and Trent, Ian, and Lee each contributed one. These final five tracks bring the listener into the present and complete the story.

The gorgeous cover was painted by Kat Moon after she listened to the final cut on the disc, the 11 minute long masterpiece "Ocean Of Consciousness"
