Bridges Of Light was started in the summer of 2008 by four friends from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. Jason Moon formed the group with Ian Dickson, Lee Raymond, and Trent Brewster to jam some of his original songs that had fallen through the cracks during the decade before - years in which he was writing and recording with Idle Thoughts, Fresh Oil Opus, Slipshod Angels, and releasing a solo album to boot!

Interestingly, the four members are all Shakespearean actors that had worked together in various productions. Once they started jamming and talking about their other shared interests in philosophy, consciousness, and chicken wings, all four members were inspired to start writing songs. This led of course to the recording of their first album, "Live For What's Beautiful", released January of 2009.

In the summer of 2009 Bridges Of Light added Jaime Dickson as a permanent member of the lineup and began touring clubs and festivals with Chris Moon, James Miller, Juanita McKay-Raymond, and Colleen Moon providing percussion and background vocals for the live shows. Currently the band is recording it's second CD "Another Way To Exist".

Jason Moon (vocals, guitar, piano) - The leader and main songwriter of the group, Jason invented the band in his mind long before the first jam sessions in the summer of 2008. There was a philosophy growing in his brain that needed to be explored so, inspired by some of the collectives he met in Vancouver (groups with large extended families of musicians that would come and jam, or contribute in the studio), he set out to find people that were willing to travel with him on the journey. Jason's vocals can range from soft and pure to coarse and angry, and his guitar always finds a place to inhabit - sharing blistering solos with Lee, or pumping out Keith Richards-like rhythm parts to keep things moving.

Ian Dickson (drums, percussion, vocals) - The heart of the group and the one who could literally play non-stop day and night if it weren't for the biological imperatives of  eating, drinking, and playing the odd game of Wii. Gifted with an incredible voice and a knack for finding the perfect harmony, Ian's voice intertwines with Jason's on songs like "Your One And Only" and "Sail Away From Your Smile", making them come to life. Ian recently returned from a year in China and various travels in the Orient, and his insight and inquisitive nature helps keep Bridges Of Light exploring.

Trent Brewster (bass, vocals) - Probably the most proficient musician in the band, Trent is the musical anchor for Bridges Of Light. Musically educated at Grant MacEwen College in Edmonton Alberta and a veteran of several metal and hard rock bands, Trent contributes a precision to the otherwise wandering ethereal ideas that comprise a Bridges Of Light set. His easygoing manner is a calming force in the recording studio and in rehearsals, and the thick bass tones that emanate from his corner of the room keep things warm.

Lee Raymond (guitar, vocals) - A recent immigrant to Canada, Lee is an American citizen who hails from Minnesota. Lee toured with various bands over much of the US, and spent time in the LA music scene honing his skills. Any band with two lead guitar players has to find a way to keep things uncluttered, and Lee's smooth style makes this possible. A listen to his raunchy solo at the end of "Letting Go" makes it clear that the man knows how to rock, and his bluesy voice takes the lead on his composition, "I Gotta Know".

Jaime Dickson (acoustic guitar, vocals) - Jaime provided percussion, background vocals, and didjiridoo for the "Live For What's Beautiful" album and then began joining the band onstage playing trumpet and acoustic guitar. Before long she became indispensable - not only for the sweet jangly sound of her guitar, but also for her boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm, making everything more fun in the process.
